In 2013, the Krakow Photo Fringe emerged from the Krakow Photomonth Festival as a response from the Visual Arts Foundation and the Lablab foundation to the need to create an open space for the growing number of events accompanying the main festival. The festival audience received a rich, multidimensional additional programme and opportunities to meet well-known, acclaimed artists as well as amateurs and those making their professional debut. The motto “Let’s Fringe!” brings together exhibitions, demonstrations, meetings, conferences, interactive events… The Fringe also reaches beyond the boundaries of the city of Kraków and covers projects from across Małopolska. This year’s programme includes the third Tarnów Photography Week.
