Emotions 2017
Saturday, November 25, 2017, 6:30 PM
How can we talk about love, loneliness, passion, grief and life struggles without words? How can we express longing, devotion, sadness, intimacy and inner conflict in a single gesture?
The powerful dance spectacle Emotions makes a welcome return to the Kraków Opera in a brand new setting of Emotions 2017. During the first half we will see Accord by Eduard Bablidze, the Georgian choreographer and dancer with the Polish National Ballet, set to Arvo Pärt’s Fratres, as well as miniatures choreographed by Violetta Suska to music by Johannes Brahms, collected under the title …where naked stars dwell… The second half features another work by Bablidze: in El Abrazo, set to music by Przemysław Treszczotka, the stage is taken over by Argentinian tango, filled with passion, desire and jealousy. The stories of emotion are told through dance by artists from the Kraków Opera Ballet Ensemble. (Barbara Skowrońska)
