What is R+R=NOW?
An unique and unforgettable collaboration of multi-talented artisits: Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Derrick Hodge, Taylor McFerrin and Justin Tyson.

The effects of work of Grammy awarded pianist, music producer Robert Glasper and musician, sax player, rapper, music producer Terrace Martin are widely seen in the musical world. They have contributed to music by Quincy Jones, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Common and Mos Def (among others).

They have joined their forces with jazz trumpeter Christian Scott, bassist Derrick Hodge, drummer Justin Tyson and multi-instrumentalist Taylor McFerrin to form band R+R=NOW which gets inspirations from many musical genres:  jazz, soul, R&B, hip-hop and others.

As Glasper says R+R NOW tells our story from our point of view. Everybody's sound is so different, but we all come from the same concrete garden. Its a very honest, fluid sound that rings of hip-hop, EDM, jazz, at times -- hell -- reggae... a bunch of cats that respect each other so much that we always pass the ball.

And what the band’s name stands for? For Reflect+Respond=NOW.
It is Glasper, inspired by soul singer Nina Simone who said once that an artist's task is to reflect the times, who came up with the band’s name.

R+R=NOW first single Change of Tone was released on May 4th and is available now on music platforms.
