Distinguished musicians including the violinists Dmitri Berlinsky and Viviane Hagner, pianists Kristina Miller and Matthias Kirschnereit, cellist Claudio Bohórquez, the Scharoun Ensemble Berlin and eager young scholars of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation and the Lusławice Talent Orchestra appear during the 6th Emanations International Music Festival (7 July – 9 September) organised by the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice.

Festival music also resounds at manor houses, castles and churches across Małopolska, in Nowy Wiśnicz, Szymbark, Gorlice, Sucha Beskidzka and Oświęcim. The festival also visits the capital of the region: on 22 July, the Church of St Martin in Kraków resounds with compositions by Bach, Telemann and Vivaldi performed by flautists Łukasz and Agata Długosz and Marek Toporowski on harpsichord. And on 2 September, the Sinfonietta Cracovia orchestra will open their new artistic season together with the Emanations Festival, by performing works of Krzysztof Penderecki at the Gallery of the 19th-century Polish Art in Sukiennice. Follow the trail of Emanations and immerse yourself in music! (Barbara Skowrońska)

Entry to all concerts is free (reservations on www.emanacje.pl).
