19th Festival of Science and the Arts
Thursday, May 16, 2019 - Saturday, May 18, 2019
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less. I am among those who think that science has great beauty,” stressed Marie Skłodowska-Curie. During the 19th Festival of Science and the Arts in Kraków (16-18 May) we will discover that science isn’t just valuable in itself – it is also a fun and fascinating adventure. The Rynek Główny becomes the Scientific Festival Village, with tents hosted by Cracovian universities and institutions holding meetings, workshops, demonstrations and competitions recalling the motto of this year’s event “Future in Science. Science in the Future”. There will also be musical accompanying events: we will hear JAZZ in ACADEMIA at the Manggha Museum and the concert Movements: Music in Motion at the National Academy of Theatre Arts. The Academy also presents the spectacle The Final Bell. Utopia.
