24th International Book Fair in Krakow (online)
Thursday, October 22, 2020 - Sunday, October 25, 2020
ATTENTION! THE BOOK FAIR HAS BEEN CANCELED!
The smell of printers’ ink, dazzling cover illustrations, a story yet to be discovered… If you love new books, we have great news: the International Book Fair in Krakow is almost here!
The 24th International Book Fair in Krakow will be extra special: after months of isolation and catching up on reading, it’s time to hunt for new releases! There will be plenty of choice for everyone! The pandemic means that this year’s events will be rather different. Between 22 and 25 October, the International Fair and Congress Centre EXPO staggers its opening hours (9am-noon, noon-3pm and 3-7pm), limiting visitor numbers during each session. We will meet our favourite writers in a designated, COVID-proofed Author’s Zone where we’ll be able to get their latest books and grab autographs. This year’s guests include rock climber and author of a guide to the Tatra’s highest peaks Andrzej Marcisz, Michał Rusinek with his book about “borrowed words”, thriller writer Thomas Arnold, presenter of a motoring TV programme Rafał Collins, author of romantic and erotic novels K.N. Haner, and author of the recently-published Bebok Aldona Reich. There will also be the latest releases, yet to reach online or brick bookstores; they will be presented at the Premiere Arena. Further programme details will be published on the organiser’s website. (Anna Mazur)
