Should we stop commercial flights to save the planet? How do species extinctions affect humankind? Who’s afraid of green energy? We will search for answers to these and other questions during the 4th BNP Paribas Green Film Festival, traditionally coming to the Vistula Boulevards (near Dragon’s Den) in the second half of August. It is Poland’s largest environmental film festival and a perfect opportunity to catch up on the state of our planet. This year’s programme includes screenings of some of the best productions exploring environmental issues and accompanying lectures, discussions and workshops. Winners of previous editions of the festival include Honeyland, Welcome to Sodom and Anthropocene: The Human Epoch. As well as outdoor screenings, the festival is also streamed on vod.greenfestival.pl.
The Vistula Embankments
A scenic space for walking and leisure activities in the heart of the city, at the foot of Wawel Castle. Together with the floodbanks of the Vistula and the Rudawa, they are a popular recreation and leisure haunt for locals and tourists alike. Crisscrossed by numerous alleys, they are furnished with cycle paths along the river.
