Young and talented – they play the main role at this festival! The 21st Young Artists in Kraków International Festival under the artistic direction of Prof. Bogumiła Gizbert-Studnicka brings among the others a concert by the students of the conservatory in Tuchów dedicated to the memory of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, performance by Julia Styrna, soprano and laureate of many Polish and international harpsichord competitions, and an organ night presented by the students of the Academy of Music in Kraków.

Julia Styrna is this year’s graduate of the Music School in Tarnów in the harpsichord class led by Prof. Bogumiła Gizbert-Studnicka and the vocal class of Alicja Płonka, laureate of many national and international harpsichord competitions. During the concert, she performs as a solo soprano (accompanied by Prof. Bogumiła Gizbert-Studnicka on harpsichord) and playing harpsichord solo and in harpsichord duo (with Prof. Bogumiła Gizbert-Studnicka).

Students of the Academy of Music in Kraków present a programme Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Eve comprising organ solo works as well as vocal-instrumental excerpts from the great sacral works including Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor and Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle.
