Observing the annual tradition, the artists of the Kraków Opera would like to invite us to join celebrations of the last night of the ending year. In spite of the difficult times, we are entering into 2022 with a hope that we will be able to meet at the building at 48 Lubicz in person rather than online and that the next year will be filled with joy and music.

Pour me some wine...! – the words from Agnieszka Osiecka’s poem which offered inspiration for this year's concert, refer not only to the atmosphere that the producers and cast are hoping to create on stage, but also the tradition of incorporating songs-toasts into operatic pieces – it should suffice to mention the famous Libiamo ne' lieti calici from Verdi's Traviata or Viva il vino spumeggiante from Leoncavallo’s Cavalleria rusticana. Toasts are raised by those who like or even love one another - thus the repertoire will also feature fragments of work which facetiously, lyrically or movingly tell about love, such as Rossini’s The Barber of Seville and Cinderella, as well as Puccini's La Bohème.

The following soloists will perform during the concert: Monika Korybalska, Paula Maciołek, Iwona Socha, Jarosław Bielecki, Tomasz Kuk and Michał Kutnik, along with Kraków Opera Orchestra and Ballet conducted by Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski.
