It is impossoble to imagine some works stripped of the sound of trumpets. In Baroque music, it was a symbol of joy and majesty. Its clear and sonorous tone was well-heard even if the music-making took place in the open air and there was much water involved in the concert...
The Baroque Orchestra of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków plays indoors but Mr. Handel’s trumpets resounds equally beautiful!
