Licenced taxis (cabs) are appropriately marked, and have prices displayed in a visible place. The fee depends on the length of the route and the tariff in operation. With most operators, covering the distance of 1 km within the city (Zone 1) from Mon to Sat, from 6:00am to 10:00pm ranges from PLN 1.80 to PLN 2.30. On Sundays and public holidays, and also at night, the usual fee per 1 kilometre is PLN 3.50. In all cases, the initial fee of PLN 6-7 is added.

• Access to the airport costs as a rule from PLN 50 to PLN 100, depending on the time of day, the day of the week, and distance.
• Routes within the city limits usually cost from PLN 20 to PLN 40.
• Crossing the whole city costs over PLN 50.
