The Lasek Wolski forest is Kraków’s largest wooded park and a popular destination for cyclists. It is situated in the western part of the city, between Wola Justowska and Bielany. It stretches over 422 ha (1042 acres) and includes Sowiniec Hill with the Piłsudski Mound, the baroque Camaldolese Monastery atop Srebrna Góra (the Silver Mountain), the zoological garden, and three rocky nature reserves: Skałki Bielańskie, Skałki Przegorzalskie, and Panieńskie Skały. Staked out in the forest are eight walking trails of a total length of 35 km (22 miles), a cycle path, a bridleway, and a trail for cross-country skiers.
