13th Prof. Jan Jargoń Organ All Souls Festival
Saturday, November 5, 2016 - Wednesday, November 9, 2016
The 13th Prof. Jan Jargoń Organ All Souls Festival fills the interiors of the Carmelite Church, the Jesuit Church and St Mary’s Basilica with masterful music. The event is dedicated to two composers, conductors and virtuosos of the instrument: Feliks Nowowiejski, commemorating the 70th anniversary of his passing, and Max Reger, commemorating a centenary of his passing. Their works are recalled by the recital by Jerzy Kukla and an academic session at the Academy of Music. This year’s festival also features an evening of German music from Buxtehude to Reger (performed by Andreas Meisner), a recital by Ines Maidre spanning works from the Baroque to the 20th century, a concert by Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois with music by Widor and Vierne, and a performance by Łukasz Kołakowski, winner of the Polish J.S.
