We’ve looked at emblems, carvings and sculptures, and now it’s time for real animals! Kraków Zoo is home to almost 1500 creatures of 260 species including some rare beasts, such as pygmy hippos, South American tapirs, Przewalski’s horses, addax antelopes, snow leopards, Siberian tigers and jaguars. There is also a petting zoo where you can stroke and feed ponies, miniature rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, pygmy goats, donkeys and llamas.
