St John Fair 2024
Thursday, June 13, 2024, 3:00 PM - Monday, June 24, 2024, 3:00 AM
St John Fair is related to the Midsummer Night celebrations. You will be enchanted by the atmosphere that is full of colours and sounds. The fair is an opportunity to participate in various craft workshops, and its important elements are cultural events related to Midsummer Night rituals, such as jumping over the bonfire, singalongs and weaving garlands. These traditions relate to historical beliefs and customs associated with the summer solstice.
St John Fair is also an opportunity to showcase the variety of local craftsmanship. On the stalls you will find unique ceramics, jewellery, clothes, wooden and leather products and much more. You will also have the chance to take part in a lace workshop or try your hand at woodcarving.
This magical event could not happen without an adequate musical and artistic setting, performances of folk and ethnic bands and traditional dance groups. The organisers also invite us to take part in a dance flash mob to folk music in a very modern version...
The fair is not likely to disappoint fans of Polish cuisine, traditional dishes and regional delicacies.
The Vistula Embankments
A scenic space for walking and leisure activities in the heart of the city, at the foot of Wawel Castle. Together with the floodbanks of the Vistula and the Rudawa, they are a popular recreation and leisure haunt for locals and tourists alike. Crisscrossed by numerous alleys, they are furnished with cycle paths along the river.
