During the summer, the musicians of the Kraków Philharmonic are not going to stay on Zwierzyniecka Street - they are going outside. Maybe they drew inspiration from Vienna, which had music played in court and municipal parks since the second half of the 18th century? This year's July instalment of the Philharmonic Music Summer chamber music series will feature classical ensembles (Antarja Quartet, Żeleński String Quartet) and more unusual ones - marimba with vibraphone and hang drum, the Sei Terre women’s vocal sextet, bagpipes and harp, brass quartet as well as wind quintet with a reader dudy szkockie z harfą, kwartet blaszany czy kwintet dęty i lektora (a must-hear version of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf!). The concerts take place on Saturdays - in the gardens of the Austrian Consulate General (6.07, 13.07), then in the Palm House of the Jagiellonian University Botanical Garden until the end of the summer. Keep your concert tickets - you can tour the Garden on the same day!
