Did you know that the Planty Park has been known for its music for nearly 200 years? Back in the day, following the Austrian fashion, Cracovians happily went to the numerous concerts, balls, masquerades and open-air events. Let's follow in their footsteps on summer Sunday afternoons - all thanks to the Promenade Concerts! To start with, the Singing Gazebo will enthrall you with opera and operetta arias, followed by Alpine folk music showcased by the Tyrolia Band. The Pieśniara band will showcase its Vintage style, Agnieszka Grochowicz will present songs by Agnieszka Osiecka, Wojciech Młynarski, Jeremi Przybora and Jonasz Kofta, and July will come to an end with Hey, klezmorim! by Tohuwabohu. The Krakow Cultural Forum will host the next Promenade Concerts at the Planty gazebo in August - the series is shaping up to be just as moving, joyful and delightful. Do not forget about the Friday evening dance parties combined with discofox, cha-cha, English waltz, samba and waltz classes.
