There were rumours that the Wawel Dragon had been kidnapped before Eurovision, but apparently he made it safely back to Krakow and even invited his dragon friends to his annual celebration, where we happen to be invited, too! We will start with a two-day dragon family picnic on the boulevards below the Wawel Castle with numerous activities for children prepared by the Groteska Theatre and partners. On Saturday evening, we will enjoy a spectacle in a bend of the Vistula – a performance inspired by the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław Chrobry as the first king of Poland. The event combining theatre, music and multimedia elements will feature, among others, artists from the Krakow Dance Theatre, the Cracovia Danza Ballet and the Krakow Opera Chorus, as well as reconstruction groups. On Sunday, we will walk together with the dragon procession through the streets of the Old Town to the Krakow Market Square.
