The festival comprises 11 curated exhibitions organised by ZPAP Krakow Branch, referred to as the main exhibitions, along with 42 accompanying exhibitions, which are organised and funded by invited cultural institutions, museums, and private contemporary art galleries..
The aim of the festival is to promote Krakow-based artists, art galleries, and the city itself by drawing public attention to the potential of the local fine arts community, as well as the diversity of creative personalities and artistic approaches. The festival also aims to highlight the significance of all visual art disciplines within the context of contemporary directions and trends, while encouraging collaboration between Krakow’s artistic communities and cultural institutions.  Participating artists either reside in Krakow or have ties to the city through their professional activities or past artistic studies undertaken here.

The overarching theme of this year’s art festival, Identity of Ideas, invites a visual exploration of the project’s core concept—one that defines the purpose and direction of artistic expression. The exhibitions reflect perspectives and patterns rooted in a specific era, culture, tradition, or place, shaped by the individual or collective experience. They offer insights into how we perceive ourselves and interpret the world around us, along with the impulses it evokes.
