Cameristi della Scala & Daniela Pini
Monday, February 9, 2026, 7:30 PM
It will be an Italian evening - in every sense of the word! The Cameristi della Scala ensemble, made up of musicians representing the orchestra of the famous opera theatre in Milan, will perform a special concert on the Kraków Philharmonic stage. Together with mezzo-soprano Daniela Pini and cellists Massimo Polidori and Giovanni Inglese, the artists will showcase works by Nicola Porpora, who worked in Naples, and the Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi. We will listen to arias, including In braccio a mille furie from Porpora's opera Semiramide riconosciuta, which was first performed by the famous Farinelli, and the poignant Vedrò con mio diletto composed by Vivaldi for Il Giustino. The programme will be complemented with instrumental works by the Red Priest, and it is worth noting that we are going to break the mould of the Four Seasons to listen to concertos for two cellos and four violins accompanied by strings performed by surprising ensembles and featuring unusual harmonies.

Besides their weekly symphony concerts, the Kraków Philharmonic also organises master recitals and educational concerts for children and young people.
The Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic Hall in Kraków was the first philharmonic to open in Poland after the Second World War. Besides the weekly symphony concerts, it organises master recitals and educational concerts for children and young people, while the summer meetings with music assume the form of chamber concerts of slightly lighter character. A hallmark of the Kraków Philharmonic repertoire is its programme of oratorios, which the Philharmonic can present thanks to its extensive and varied lineup: the orchestra, mixed choir, and boys choir. The Kraków Philharmonic has become recognised for its promotion of the works of Karol Szymanowski in Poland and abroad.
The Philharmonic Hall frequently hosts concerts by special guests, for example, at major festivals.
