7th Young Spring
Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 7:00 PM
For the seventh time, the Young Spring introduces a new bloomng season, a long awaited musical break from the winter spirit. This year, the programme will feature, among others, the Romantic music of Robert Schumann and Fryderyk Chopin. As every year, talented students of the Karol Szymanowski Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków will perform together on the stage of the Florianka recital Hall, along with their pedagogues, who will present new interpretations of chamber music masterpieces.
This year's edition, however, is unique – alongside Robert Schumann's phenomenal Piano Quintet, we'll hear Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Concerto in E minor in a still less popular, yet incredibly demanding and ephemeral version with string quartet. The solo part will be performed by Yehuda Prokopowicz, a student of the Kraków Academy and participant in the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition.
The concert will also feature: Aneta Dumanowska, Elizaveta Lessoun, Oriana Masternak, Anna Prucnal, Maria Shetty, Emilia Zielińska, Beata Urbanek, Sławomir Cierpik, Maciej Lulek, Emanuel Maňúch.
