Beethoven. The Turn of the Classicism and Romanticism is the headline of the 30th anniversary edition of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. Even though it has been taking place in Warsaw for a while, each year returns to its roots and the city where it was founded. The slogan is also reflected in the festival's concerts at the Kraków Philharmonic, which include Haydn and Mozart (his Concerto in E flat major for two pianos will be played by the Hyuk and Hyo Lee brothers, accompanied by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra and conductor Jean-Luc Tingaud) as well as Brahms and Chausson, the rediscovered French composer who died at the end of the 19th century. The works of the festival's patron will also be present - his famous Symphony No. 5 performed by Sinfonietta Cracovia led by Jong-Jie Yin, winner of the 11th Grzegorz Fitelberg Conductors' Competition, and the Violin Concerto in D major, one of the finest examples of the genre, will be showcased by the outstanding German soloist Arabella Steinbacher and the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein led by David Runtz. The exhibition of musical manuscripts at the Jagiellonian Library will feature scores of pieces performed during the concerts, as well as the priceless collections of the former Prussian State Library in Berlin. The opening will feature a concert by the Książek Piano Duo.
