Sinfonietta Cracovia doesn't shy away from jazz – that was already made evident during its February concert with Andrzej Jagodziński's trio. Now, the orchestra has invited the Atom String Quartet, Poland's most renowned improvising string ensemble breaking new ground since its founding in 2010. This classical chamber ensemble, well-established in musical tradition (from Haydn and Beethoven to Penderecki and Cage), has become a starting point for the artists' own explorations. The ensemble owes its original, modern sound to a line-up quite unusual for jazz music and its original compositions, featuring improvisation, as well as inspiration from Polish folklore, world music, contemporary, and classical music. The quartet's talent and class are attested to by numerous awards, invitations to international festivals, and performances with renowned artists including: Branford Marsalis, Bobby McFerrin, Leszek Możdżer, Aga Zaryan, Smolik, the AUKSO Orchestra, the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, and Sinfonia Varsovia. The programme of the Atom String Quartet's April concert in Kraków will consist of works written by the band members, this time in orchestral arrangements, and the guests will be supported in their performance by Sinfonietta Cracovia.

Besides their weekly symphony concerts, the Kraków Philharmonic also organises master recitals and educational concerts for children and young people.

The Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic Hall in Kraków was the first philharmonic to open in Poland after the Second World War. Besides the weekly symphony concerts, it organises master recitals and educational concerts for children and young people, while the summer meetings with music assume the form of chamber concerts of slightly lighter character. A hallmark of the Kraków Philharmonic repertoire is its programme of oratorios, which the Philharmonic can present thanks to its extensive and varied lineup: the orchestra, mixed choir, and boys choir. The Kraków Philharmonic has become recognised for its promotion of the works of Karol Szymanowski in Poland and abroad.

The Philharmonic Hall frequently hosts concerts by special guests, for example, at major festivals.
