The authoritative Polish forum will be a guest at the Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery in Varna from November 6 to 30, 2026 with the collection "Polish Graphics". The Varna audience will have the opportunity to experience the contemporary trends, searches and achievements of leading Polish graphic artists.
The Director of the Graphic Art Gallery in Varna, Prof. Valeri Chakalov, shared: "This project is a key step towards the development of international exchange. With the "Magnum Opus" exhibition, we are not just presenting part of the golden fund of the biennial, but we are starting an equal dialogue with one of the most established world forums - the International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Krakow. Our partnership establishes Varna as a significant factor on the global graphic scene."
The exhibition exchange within the framework of "Magnum Opus" offers the audience and critics in both countries an in-depth visual conversation in graphic culture and tradition worldwide. In this way, the International Biennial of Graphic Arts – Varna positions itself as a key European forum, reflecting contemporary trends and achievements in this art.
The selection of works reveals the richness of traditional graphic means of expression and their importance in the contemporary artistic context. “Magnum Opus” affirms the role of graphics as a living and relevant form of expression, combining high aesthetic culture, technical mastery and authorial sensitivity. The exhibitions will emphasize the dialogue between tradition and modernity, while at the same time expanding the opportunities for cultural exchange between artists, institutions and audiences.
In the long term, the initiative will stimulate new creative partnerships between art and educational institutions in Bulgaria and Poland.
“Magnum Opus” not only emphasizes the enduring importance of classical graphic techniques in the era of contemporary art, but also establishes Varna as one of the leading international centers for graphic art.
