Wacław Nowak in Colour
Friday, November 17, 2017, 6:00 PM - Sunday, December 10, 2017
Wacław Nowak (1924-1976) co-founded (with Zbigniew Łagocki and Wojciech Plewiński) the Domino Group in 1957 and taught photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, although he is perhaps best known for his 1960s work such as the reportage from Poland’s celebrations of the millennium anniversary of the adoption of Christianity and his experimental black-and-white nude photographs. The exhibition Wacław Nowak in Colour at the ZPAF Gallery presents archival photos of mountain landscapes, wooden architecture, and landscapes of Kraków and communist-era holiday resorts.
