Purple Dreams

They were almost called Roundabout – having performed on one – and they have played alongside Paul McCartney. Deep Purple go all the way back to 1968, when Chris Curtis founded the group and recruited the musicians. Life being what it is, the founder was the first to leave the ensemble to focus on some of his more eccentric projects. However, he lied the foundations for the “loudest group in the world” with musicians including Jon Lord, Ritchie Blackmore, Nick Simper and Ian Paice. As befits rock legends, Deep Purple – now with a slightly different lineup – provide a heavy dose of decibels and solid guitar sounds intertwining hard rock, heavy metal and prog rock. They will lull us into purple dreams at Tauron Arena on 1 July. The concert is part of The Long Goodbye tour promoting the album Infinite, bidding farewell to the fans and the stage.
