The Father Bernatek footbridge links the Kazimierz and Podgórze districts. The picturesque river crossing is popular with pedestrians and cyclists alike. It was built in 2010 at the site of the former Podgórski bridge. It is named after Father Laetus Bernatek, founder of the hospital of the Brothers Hospitallers in Kraków.
The distinctive curve of the 145 metre-long bridge is lit from underneath, and the barriers are fitted with LED lights. Fascinating balancing sculptures made by Jerzy Kędzior are suspended above.
