New Dimension

Two Oscars, three Golden Globes, four Grammys, an American Music Award, a Tony… The list of Hans Zimmer’s achievements is certainly impressive, but he is perhaps best known for the powerful emotions stirred by his music, earning him huge numbers of fans. His latest tour, The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension receives a new musical programme. “My aspiration with this new show is to preserve the culture of the orchestra and allow audiences to rediscover the unique facets of orchestral music. There are many background stories I would love to tell and long-time companions and friends I would like to introduce,” Zimmer says about the tour. His guests include the conductor Gavin Greenaway, a long-term collaborator of the German composer, leading a symphonic orchestra and soloists. Hans Zimmer is the tour’s curator and music director, but he will only appear in person at one concert, at – you guessed it! – Tauron Arena Kraków on 12 May. (Bartosz Suchecki, Kraków Culture)
